Overview
Seal: SSL/TLS Certificates
Seal is being built to take certificate issuance and renewal off your task list. The plan covers free Let's Encrypt certificates with DNS-01 validation through Trail, wildcard support, and a path to commercial OV/EV certificates for organisations that need them. Final pricing for commercial certificates will be published at launch.

Highlights
Why Seal
These describe the design intent for Seal. Final behaviour will be confirmed at launch.
Issued and renewed for you
The intent is that you stop tracking certificate expiry dates by hand. Issuance and renewal happen on a schedule, with notifications when something needs attention.
Wildcards via DNS validation
DNS-01 validation through Trail is part of the design so wildcard certificates work without poking holes in your web server.
Commercial certificates available
For organisations that need OV or EV certificates for regulatory or customer-trust reasons, commercial issuance is on the roadmap alongside the free path.
