Overview
Imprint: Snapshots & Recovery
Imprint is being built as point-in-time snapshots of a full Pulse instance — disk, OS, configuration. Trigger one before a risky deploy, schedule them, restore from one when something goes wrong, or use one to clone an instance. Restore performance and exact retention controls will be published at launch.

Highlights
Why Imprint
These describe the design intent for Imprint. Final behaviour will be confirmed at launch.
Roll back a bad change
Take a snapshot before a risky deploy or upgrade so a failed change can be reverted instead of debugged at 2am.
On a schedule, not by hand
Schedule snapshots and set retention so you keep enough recovery points without paying for snapshots you no longer need.
Clone instead of rebuild
Spin up a copy of a production instance from a snapshot for staging, testing or horizontal scaling without redoing the original setup.
