Overview

Lace: Private Networking

Lace is being built as isolated private networking between your Pulse instances per location. Private traffic stays off the public internet, which is good for both latency and bandwidth costs on inter-service traffic. Subnet sizes, firewall management UX and VPN gateway behaviour will be confirmed before launch.

Built for

Multi-tier web architectures Database cluster replication Microservice communication Compliance & data isolation

Highlights

Why Lace

These describe the design intent for Lace. Final behaviour will be confirmed at launch.

Isolated per customer

Networks are designed to be tenant-isolated, so the private traffic between your instances is not shared with anyone else.

No surprise bandwidth bill

Private traffic between your own Pulse instances does not get charged like public egress. The exact pricing model will be published at launch.

Built for multi-tier setups

Keep databases and internal services on the private side and expose only the front door to the public internet — defence in depth by default.
