Highlights

Why Safekeep

These describe the design intent for Safekeep. Final behaviour will be confirmed at launch.

Incremental, not wasteful

Backups capture only what changed since the previous run, so storage and bandwidth costs stay close to the rate at which your data actually changes.

Restore from a known good point

Pick a backup snapshot from the available retention window and restore from it. The exact granularity will depend on your retention tier.

Encrypted in storage and in flight

AES-256 at rest, TLS in transit, and automatic verification of stored backups so you do not discover a corrupted backup mid-incident.
