Private networking

Your data, out of sight.

The app faces the internet. The database never does. We set it up with your servers.

internet web-01web-02 app tier · public db-01 data tier · private only
One private network per site, attached to the servers that need it.

How it works.

App public, data private

Your app can be public. Only the right servers reach the database.

Separate environments

Production and staging need not share a network. Keep them apart.

Set up with the servers

Tell us the tiers and we place the network, together with your servers.

Stays within the site

A private network lives with its servers. Traffic between tiers stays off the public internet.

Private, in three steps.

  1. 01

    Tell us the tiers

Which servers face the internet, which hold data, and what must stay apart.

  2. 02

    We place the network

Our engineers attach a private network to your servers, in the site you chose.

  3. 03

Each tier talks to its neighbour

Your app reaches the database privately. Nothing else does.

Private networking FAQ

Can I set this up myself in the portal?

Not in the portal. Our team sets it up with you, alongside the servers it connects.

Can a private network span Rotterdam and Den Bosch?

No. A private network stays within one site. A redundant link between the sites is planned.

Do my servers keep a public address?

Only the ones that need one. A database server can live on the private network alone.
