Legislation & NIS2 Compliance
Introduction
PeaceWeb is committed to maintaining a secure and resilient digital infrastructure. As part of our compliance efforts, we actively implement the requirements of the NIS2 Directive and other applicable laws. This page outlines our responsibilities under the law and how we fulfill them.
Applicability of NIS2
As a provider of hosting, domain name, and DNS services, PeaceWeb falls within the scope of the EU NIS2 Directive. Regardless of company size, such services are explicitly included. We are taking all necessary steps to meet compliance obligations well in advance of the Dutch implementation deadline in 2026.
Security Measures
We have implemented the following safeguards and controls:
- Ongoing risk assessments and vulnerability scans
- Patch management and secure configuration procedures
- Network and system monitoring, using internal tools and platforms like cPanel
- Multi-factor authentication and strict access controls
- Comprehensive backup and recovery procedures
- Vendor risk management with enforced security expectations
We continuously review and update these controls to reflect evolving risks and best practices.
Incident Response & Notifications
We maintain an internal incident response plan designed to detect, contain, and resolve security incidents efficiently. In the event of a significant incident, we will:
- Immediately investigate and mitigate impact
- Notify affected customers if applicable
- Report to relevant authorities within 24 hours in accordance with NIS2
If you are aware of an incident or believe your service has been affected, please contact:
Governance & Responsibility
We have appointed a Security Officer responsible for overseeing cybersecurity and legal compliance. This function is backed by our management team, which is actively involved in security oversight and risk management at board level.
